Classic Nordic Skiers

Classic "Kick and Glide" Skiers are the most common users to the area. We ask that you be aware of others using the set tracks. Common etiquette is to yield to the downhill ie. higher speed traffic as its easier to get out of the way at a slower speed. Also, if you have a wider "BC or Adventure" ski avoid the tracks on sharper corners and skis wider than 70mm should avoid the set tracks period as they blow them out for a traditional width skier and are very difficult to fix for the groomers. 

Skate Skiers

We groom to a width accessible to Skate Skiers where possible and have done great improvements widening some of the trails to cater to grooming for skate skiers. Skate Skiers should avoid crossing and damaging the set tracks and just like Classic Skiers yield to downhill traffic. 

Snowshoers

Snowshoers are recommended to stay to the edge of the groomed area and since they are typically slower than other users they yield to other users of all types and like fatbikers be aware of divots left in the groomed surface as its hard to remove with our existing grooming equipment.

Fatbikers

Fatbikers are currently recommended to stay on the flatter trails that are more commonly traveled ie. firmer. We are in the process of acquiring equipment that will allow us to groom firmer trails that will better suit Fatbikers but in the meantime few of the trails work well. We ask fatbikers to use common courtesy, look for signage showing what trails are closed, stay closer to the edge of the groomed surface, avoid crossing the set tracks, and be aware of conditions that leave ruts as they are very difficult to remove and have a very negative impact on the rest of the trail users.

Dogs

We love dogs but not everyone does. People have had all different experinces with dogs in their past - refer to the golden rule.

Dogs respond different under different situations, it's polite to keep them on leash around the trailhead areas and to keep an eye on them and under voice command on trail as to not cause accidents with oncoming users or have negative interactions with other dogs or people.

Around trailhead - bag poop and remove from area / On trail - bag and remove poop or fling off the side of the trail
